How to do aftercare

•  Wash your hands thoroughly and keep the tattoo area clean.

•  Gently wash the tattoo with fragrance-free antibacterial soap and water, then completely pat it dry with a clean paper towel (the skin must be fully dry for proper adhesion).

•  Cut the Saniderm to a size 1–2 inches (2–5 cm) larger than the tattoo on all sides.

•  Peel off the white opaque backing paper to expose the adhesive side.

•  Align the film with the center of the tattoo and apply it, smoothing from the center outward to push out any wrinkles or air bubbles.

•  Once applied, peel off the transparent top release sheet (support layer) — smooth it down again if necessary.

•  Leave the first film on for 3–24 hours (commonly 24 hours is recommended). It is normal for body fluid or ink to collect inside.

•  When changing or removing: Slowly peel it off in the shower (pulling it back over itself), gently wash the area, pat it completely dry, then apply a new piece if needed (the second piece is usually left on for 4–6 days).

•  Avoid soaking in a bath for the first two days. It is best to avoid pools, swimming, or ocean swimming for at least 3 weeks.

•  After removing the film, moisturize the tattoo with a regular skin lotion used at home for about 1 month.

Tattoos heal like a scrape from falling — they form a scab and recover naturally. When washing, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly first. Avoid over-washing the tattoo and don’t apply too much moisturizer. Keep your immune system healthy and simply monitor its progress.
